36 Week Update

Had Dr’s appt this morning, I’ve been feeling bad since last Tuesday, swollen legs, hands and face, headache, seeing stars and spots. They took my bp this morning, was very high. They sent me to L&D for monitoring, hooked up to machines for a few hours. Baby is just fine and all, my blood pressure is wacky though.

I get an ultrasound tomorrow and I’m bedrest until further notice, we talked about maybe having to take the baby out via CS early because of my bp. I told her that I would be full term in a week and a half and if bed rest keeps my pressure down, I really want to wait until at least then. She agreed as long as my pressure stays at least borderline.

So, all and all, this is just a repeat of what happened with dd. I was fine till month 9, then everything just weirded out. But it’s ok, as long as the end result is a healthy me and a healthy baby I don’t have any problems with a CS.

Counting down the days

Ok, I’m ready to squeeze this baby out. I’m 35 weeks pregnant, and I’m ready for this pregnancy to be over and done with. I have to have hubby do all the shopping now, I’m simply too tired to go to the store. Sitting up, rolling over, getting up… it’s just so hard. All I want to do is stay in bed. I’m glad I got everything ready for the baby early, because I just don’t have any motivation or energy to do anything. I just want to stay in bed. I’m glad it’s Friday, because Amanda wants nothing to do with me on weekends because Daddy is off of work and she loves to spend all her time with him. So that will allow me to shut the bedroom door and hang out in bed.

Where did the fall weather go? The temp in the 40s and 50s felt so perfect, now it’s up to 80 again. Had the heat on last week, the AC this week. I’m so hot all the time, I need the cooler temps to come back. Hubby has to cut the grass again, just when we thought we could put away the lawn mower for the year.

I voted today

Went to the library and there was a small line to vote so I jumped in… about 10 minutes later I had proudly voted for Kerry. Now that’s one less thing to worry about, no standing in line on election day 9 months pregnant.

It’s getting down to 40 tonight.. and I have the window fan in the window in the room I’m sleeping in. The cool air feels so good! I’ve been waking up drenched in sweat the past few mornings, this happened when I was pregnant with Amanda also. So sitting in front of the window fan is just wonderful..
