Ok, going to try this again. This is Missy. the picture size is 320xsomething, I hit upload, hit send to editor, and I get….

..the Thumbnail size. I click on picture options and have “use original”. But this is not the original size. There must be something I’m missing somewhere. Wordpress isn’t hard to figure out. I blame my ‘mommy brain’, and not having a full (more then 3 hours) uninterrupted nights sleep in over 6 years.
Now if I just chose insert image in the editor and put in the url of the picture I get:

Well, I guess I can do that for now. Maybe i can find a nice plug in or different editor. there are a million wordpress plugins.Â

Hope everyone had a good thanksgiving day. Dinner was at Lenora’s house this year, so there wasn’t any long trip involved. Everyone brought something to eat, I made green bean casserole. PawPaw flew in from Houston, Debbie/kelly and their family drove in from Winchester. Great food, great people. I’m so, so lucky to have the best inlaw family in the world.  Even my brother and sister in law married into great families. Here are some Thanksgiving Day pictures.
As some of my faithful readers may have noticed (well, ok, only 1 person reads my blog that I know of, Geekagirl), my site’s theme has changed. That’s because I went from Joomla back to Wordpress. I loved Joomla, but it’s way to complicated for just a blog at this point. Wordpress is much easier, and with sidebar widgets, I don’t have to edit a thing. but wordpress is lacking in the image department. you would think that to insert an image, all you’d have to do is hit “upload”, chose the image and click “insert”. Well, you can do that, but for some reason, all you get is a cute but useless thumbnail. Â
I could use an online image storage and link back to pictures like from Flickr and even Picasa’s new web album, which I’m testing out. but I don’t like either of them because I don’t get the control that I’d like over who see’s my pictures. But the services are easy to use. Now I have oodles of unused space on my webhost, so I could install a photo gallery on my server, but I haven’t seen any that are truely easy to use like the online services. I dunno. My butt hurts from sitting here typing so I’ll get up and move around and think about what I’m going to do. Â
