MIL just got back from her yearly trip to Hawaii (yes, I’m *jealous*) and she bought this outfit for him. I love it, he looks so adorable and sweet and so damn cute in it. Just looking at him makes me wish I was on a beach in Hawaii under a swaying palm with a glass full of tiny bubbles. I wish it wasn’t 20F outside!Â
I haven’t posted much lately because I’ve been playing the World of Warcraft expansion “Burning Crusade”. I dusted off my lvl 60 hunter and have been exploring and having a good time. I don’t get much time to play, an hour if I’m lucky a day, and I’ve been playing when E naps if I can. So far the expansion has been good, excellent new gear which I badly needed, my pig pet Pappy is great, though I put him in the stable and tamed a warp stalker yesterday. they look like a baby dragon. I haven’t used him yet, will play when E goes to sleep for a nap today.
DD got off the bus yesterday in tears, she said her right ear hurt. She didn’t have a fever and nothing green was coming out of any other place, so i told her to lay down on her right side and let gravity take over. Sure enough in less then 10 mins her ear drum burst and ear juice came ooozing out and now she’s pain free and perfectly fine. DS I know has ear infections, he has green nose and some green coming out of his eyes, but no fever, and is just grouchy and sleepy. Well, not sleepy enough not to wake me up a dozen times last night.Â
Last year, I took DS and DD to Percy Priest Lake in Hermitage, near the visitors center, we wanted to walk by the lake.  We get there and I unload the kids, the stroller and start walking when I notice there are 4 or 5 cars in the parking lot, all occupied by men who appeared to be alone. I had a few red flags go up in my head, so I decided this might not be a good idea. As I taking the kids back to the car, I see 2 men leaving the woods together.  I went back a few more times over a week and each time there were men in cars and men cruising the parking lot!
Every time I go to Percy Priest Lake, there are strange men alone in cars parked over by the visitors center and by the little parking area just before it, where all the geese and ducks are, and men crusing the parking lot.  It’s intimidating. There are never any women or families, just solo men.  In fact last week, I took DS and decided to go to the other part of the lake, the section just below the damn (by the greenway), thinking there would be more people there and that might not be attractive to the strange men in cars. And there were more people there, but also those men in cars. And I went to the lake today with my dog, and sure enough, there are men sitting there in their cars! It’s obvious now what they are doing, and it pisses me off. I don’t care if men have sex with other men, but I do care that they are picking up other men and having sex at what should be a family friendly place. And that it seems to me nothing is being done about it.
I want our lake back! Make these men find someplace else!Â
