What a fun day we had! The weather was perfect and we got to meet other geocachers from around the area. Milly (our dog) loved it and got some much needed exercise. So many kids came, my daughter was thrilled. We found I think 6 caches, I ended up with at least a dozen scratches from the brush we walked through and all of us had ticks. Eww ticks!!! The park is just awesome *except* for the netting they put down on the sides of the paths. Someone f’cked up because the netting holes are so small that snakes go under the netting but they can’t get out, and are dying. We saw 4 dead snakes half in and half out of the netting and we just wondered around a very tiny part of the 800 acre park. The netting needs to be pulled up and if they need absolutely need netting for some reason, put down netting with bigger holes. here are some pictures of todays event, the first picture of the geocacher taking a snake out of a net I didn’t take, but borrowed from Weathergirl who posted the picture.
