Tennessee-Mom

Well, it’s the first day since school let out and DH went back to work after the holidays, and its HELL.  the kids have done nothing but fight and yell at each other all morning.  DD is constantly complaining that she’s bored.  And its only 11am!!!  She wants to ‘do homeschooling’ so I took out the 1st grade books and made her a packet of work to do.  She’s happy but then DS insists on bothering her, taking her papers, and otherwise trying to get her attention by hitting her or screaming.  This is put me in a not so good mood.  They won’t go outside because it’s hot, and I’m almost tempted to turn on the TV, but god they need to learn to occupy themselves at least in the morning.  I have crap I need to do in the morning like laundry, dishes, pick stuff up off the floor.  Surely they can entertain themselves???  Anyone have any happy pills they can give me?  I need some! 

update:  neighborhood kids are at the house so my kids are happy and occupied now, yay!
