This year we went to Debbie and Kelly’s in Winchester, TN for Thanksgiving.
The lake at their house. Someone please send rain!

Grandma and the grandkids:

Lenora, Debbie and MeeMaw:

Kelly frying the turkey. I don’t know why people in TN fry the turkey.

Nora:

Amanda:

The kids are whining. I know all kids whine, but I have a low tolerance for whining. It’s at its worst around 5pm every single day. Even if they are little angles all day, come 5pm they start fighting and whining. My neighbors probably hear ”Jesus christ stop whining!” all the time. Great parenting. I love my kids, but my brain just shuts down when the whining starts. I close my eyes and picture my “happy place”. Yeah, my “happy place”.
I guess it is because of our drought, but we didn’t get very good fall colors this year. About the only colors that looks good are the red/orange on the maples. The yellows and golds are dull and shabby. I took these pictures taking DD to the bus stop this morning. As usual, click to make them bigger. The colors came out just like I saw them:
I’ve been listening to Jethro Tull lately. The acoustical stuff, like Thick as a Brick, Skating Away, and Fat Man. I’m not sure why. Maybe they take me closer to my happy place.
