I put up the hummingbird feeders so now I’m waiting for them to show up this year. According to hummingbirds.net , the first ruby-throated hummingbirds have reached southern and middle Tennessee a few days ago. Despite my efforts last year, they didn’t stay at my house until July, then they were gone a month and a half later. So I’m hoping to have better luck this year. I even have a big pot of red begonia’s out there just to increase my chances.
In the back yard, the birdbath/birdfeeder/pet cemetery area has been fenced off with a barely visible small wire fence and this will be our butterfly garden. The seedlings that were started inside on the 11th are growing well, as is the cat grass.
And it rained today.
All is well with the universe.
