Yes, Nashville is out of gas

Nashville has been out of gas since last weekend. At first they blamed the hurricane and a pipe that brings gas into Nashville. They said that the supply was disrupted and would be back to normal soon.  Ok, that’s fine.  But “soon” never happened and the days went by and nothing changed.  Drivers were getting worried because now their tanks are running low, they need to get to work and school, and you can’t find a station with gas.  And the days went by and still nothing changed.

Now our tanks are really low, and so if you do find a station with gas, the lines are long.  But what are you to do?  You need gas so you have to wait in line.  This is not “panic buying” as they want you to believe.  This is “I need gas, this is the only station that has it so I have to sit in a line with everyone else for 45 minutes” buying.

They are trying to place the blame on the drivers, so I’m wondering who really is to blame.  I saw on the news this morning that 3 barges with millions of gallons of fuel arrived on Friday, and things should be back to normal by Monday or Tuesday.  That still doesn’t help those who still can’t find gas this weekend.

I sat in line for 5 minutes to get $20 worth of gas yesterday. Most stations are still out of gas. I paid $3.99 for the cheap stuff, but other places are around $4.25 for the cheap stuff. It’s f’ing stupid, I hate it. I remember filling up my little Metro for $14 dollars when I lived back in DE! Now, I haven’t filled up since spring .

It’s been close to a week so….how is the gas problem now? Did it effect a lot of people going to and from work? What about the school buses, did they have issues with no gas/diesil?

I’ve yet filled my precious 2000 Kia Sportage completely up with gas in over 2 months. It took above $55 and my purse was punched!!!! It gets to the point when I just throw in $20 here or $20 there just to hop around town. Thank goodness the prices gone down slightly since then! :)
    Have a happy day T-Mom!!!!
