My Blood Parrots Laid Eggs

I didn’t know they could lay eggs, and it’s absolutely fascinating behavior to watch!  I’m so used to guppies and platies who eat their baby’s that’s it’s refreshing to see parents protecting eggs.  I thought they were both males, guess I was wrong.  I’ve read that the males are infertile, but have also seen more recent reports that some males are able to reproduce.  I don’t know, either way, it will be an exciting thing to watch and see what happens.

    Congrats on the spawn, and great video! Hopefully you’ll post a video of a huge fry swarm next! :-)
