Woke up this morning to find our fridge wasn’t working anymore. Off to Lowes to buy a new fridge. Then took the family to Nashville Shores (to replace our cancelled trip to Florida because of the oil). As soon as we got in the wave pool, the thunderstorms moved in. One hour and $80 later we left because the storm never stopped. In the mail I get a magazine I never subscribed to. Why? Because someone stole my debt card number and used it like crazy on July 9th. My bank caught it and closed the card, but whoever it was signed me up for columbia house movies, sports illustrated and golf magazine. And those are just the ones I know about. What I don’t understand is why all this stuff being sent to my house? If you steal someones card shouldn’t you be sending stuff to your house instead?
Library Fail

I got to the library bright and early, and logged in to get a computer. It assigned me to #15, I went and sat down and I hear the wonderful popping of gum. Oh crap. But I’m determined to get my research done. So I log in and I’m disappointed that ancestry.com doesn’t let me log into my tree, I can only do searches in general. Then the gum lady next to me starts yapping on her phone. That was enough for me. I went home and plopped down $15 for one month access to ancestry. So I’m busy downloading all the documents I can that even might be related to my searches, and I will sort them all out later. I really dislike ancestry.com site, it’s so slow, but they have everything, so I’ll just shut up and do it.

DD and I went to the library to try out Ancestry.com through their system. Unfortunately their computers were down. So we will try tomorrow.
I didnt realize how big and not very organized my gedcom has become. And trying to edit it through ancestry is frustrating because its so slow. i downloaded the gedcom, and used rootmagic to split it into different, logical gedcoms. Now I have manageable files to work with.
I exported a test gedcome with media files, uploaded the gedcom and media files to TNG on my server, and it worked. The media was linked to the right people. Now I can get more organized and get the gedcoms cleaned up.
Oh, there is no point in getting in a pissing match with people who have no real life experience in what you are talking about.

Linked my TNG site/database with here, however it is not integrated because the plugin doesn’t work. Plus I don’t have photos and all that added to it, but it does have all the people.
Installed Nextgen gallery so I can have better image management. Put up some Baltz photos, however I have not added any ID to them.
It’s too hot and humid and too late to stay awake!

Added a William Hunter page, along with an 1850 census and questions about the mystery that surrouds him. I would love answers!!! Added 1880 Census to Charles and Huldah Richardson, and 1860 and 1870 Census to Moses Richardson.
Added a page about John G. Foote from Des Moines. Even though he isn’t a blood relative, he did take in and raise my GG Grandfather Hunter, so I’d like to know more about him. Added grave information.
Also added a page about Mark Sylvestor Foote.
